عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

 رضى الله عنها

 قَالَتْ

مَا أَكَلَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ

صلى الله عليه وسلم

أَكْلَتَيْنِ فِي يَوْمٍ

إِلاَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْرٌ‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha:

The family of Muhammad (ﷺ) did not eat two meals on one day, but one of the two was of dates.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ         :  from 'Aisha

                          从'艾莎    cóng ài shā
                    

رضى الله عنها   : Allah was pleased with her

                        安拉对她很满意 ān lā duì tā hěn mǎn yì

 قَالَتْ               : She said

                         她说 tā shuì

مَا أَكَلَ             : did not eat

                       没有吃  méi yǒu chī

آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ         : the family of Muhammad

                      穆罕默德的家庭 mù hǎn mò dé de jiā tíng

صلى الله عليه : Allah bless him

                      阿拉祝福他  ā lā zhù fú tā

وسلم               : and (Allah) save (him)

                         和(真主)救(他    hé  (zhēn zhǔ)  jiù  (tā) 

أَكْلَتَيْنِ فِي يَوْمٍ  : two meal a day

                        一天两餐  yī tiān liǎng cān

إِلاَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا        : except one of two of them

تَمْرٌ                   : ( is ) dates

                        (是)日期   (shì)  rì qī

HR Muslim

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، بْنُ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ يَجُوعُ أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ عِنْدَهُمُ التَّمْرُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:.

A family which has dates will not be hungry.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ مَنِ اصْطَبَحَ بِسَبْعِ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةٍ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ سَمٌّ وَلاَ سِحْرٌ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Amir bin Sa`d:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day."

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُفْطِرُ عَلَى تَمَرَاتٍ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

Anas bin Malik narrated:

"The Prophet would have a breakfast of dates on the Day of Fitr before leaving for the Musalla."

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ إِنْ كُنَّا آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ نَمْكُثُ شَهْرًا مَا نَسْتَوْقِدُ بِنَارٍ إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ الْمَاءُ وَالتَّمْرُ ‏.‏ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

Aishah narrated:

"We, the family of Muhammad, would go for a month without kindling a fire, having only water and dates."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلاَلٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَأْكُلُ الرُّطَبَ بِالْبِطِّيخِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d said:

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to eat dates with melon.”

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ أُمِّ الرَّائِحِ بِنْتِ صُلَيْعٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهَا، سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ "‏ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ ‏"‏ ‏

Salman bin ‘Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for it is a means of purification."

Narrated `Abdullah bin Ja`far:

I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) eating fresh dates with cucumbers
